Bellaria is an ancient village of fishermen, that at the end of the 19th century extended on the mouth of the river Uso; to the beginnings of the 20th century a village for vacations, called Igea Marina, was founded.
Today Bellaria is a modern and graceful touristic center, that accommodates tourists from all Europe. The tourists come here for 7 km of splendid beach and not deep sea, with more than one hundred bathing establishments. The receptive structures, the activities and entertainments are numerous, above all in the pedestrian city center of Bellaria (Isola dei Platani), enriched of flower-beds with valuable vegetation, where, in the evening, the tourists can taste an ice cream, a show, a piadina or a simple walk.
Igea Marina offers to the lovers of the nature the Parco del Gelso, a park extends around the homonymous lake: the rich vegetation and the thematic areas (as the garden of the butterflies) make it a interesting and pleasant destination.
